Let me begin by saying what a wonderful job the children’s choir and the adult choir did in their Christmas programs.  We appreciate all the hard work that involved so many people to make the programs happen, and get everyone in the proper Christmas spirit.

We had a good year at Hopewell in 2009...in spite of the economy and it’s effect upon our nation that effected everyone.  God still blessed.  We thank God for the ones that were saved, those that came into our fellowship, and the many wonderful memories that were made during the year.

As we move into 2010, I believe this will be our best year yet… the staff and those involved with various committees are already looking ahead to various activities.

In three weeks, Brad and myself will be going to Africa...everyone keeps asking am I excited...well, yes, but honestly, I don’t know for sure what all I feel...the first that comes to mind is how can a country boy from Arkansas be able to go to Africa with his son and minister to hungry hearts...only God could arrange that….and to all the many precious people that gave from their hearts to allow me to go...for sure I know I will come back a changed person, and our prayer is that the change will effect everyone else resulting in a mighty move of God through Hopewell Baptist Church.

Again, let me express how blessed Linda and I feel to be here at Hopewell….for the wonderful staff I am privileged to work with, and the Deacons and their wives, all the members and those that are not members, but come to our services each week...thank you for
allowing us to be a part of your life as we serve the Lord  together.

May God bless you as we journey into the new year, and see the mighty hand of God at work.

                                See you in church …..
